A Milestone Birthday (July 2026)

Namaste, my darlings!

I have some news I would like to share with you personally, because so many of you have become part of my life over the years…not just clients, but people I truly care about.

On July 30th, I turn 50.

If you'd asked me a few years ago how I felt about hitting milestone birthdays, I'd have told you honestly, I never handled them particularly well. There was always a quiet dread to them, a sense of time passing rather than time earned.

This one feels different.

Somewhere along the way, my mindset shifted. I've come to see turning 50 not as something to brace for, but as something to be genuinely grateful for. Because the truth is, there are so many people who never got the chance to reach this age. People who were loved, who mattered, who left a real mark on the lives around them. To get here, when so many haven't, isn't something to take lightly. It's a privilege.

Over the last couple of years, I've lost people who meant the world to me - and to many of you too, I imagine. I want to take a moment to honour them:

  • Moira Burke - my best friend, my confidante, my right arm.

  • Alan Monaghan

  • Derek Njolai

  • Marguerite Roache

  • Ross Kelly

  • Nicky Divito

  • Dominic Ricci

  • Rachel Clifford

Each of them, in their own way, made an impact on the people around them and on me. This birthday is as much about honouring them as it is about celebrating turning 50.

It's also given me a chance to reflect on what actually matters to me now. My mission has always been simple: to make sure everyone who spends time with me feels safe, comfortable, and happy. But I've also come to properly enjoy my own life these last few years, and to recognise what a privilege that is.

So, instead of gifts this year, I'd like to ask something different.

Rather than buying something I don't need, I'd be so grateful if you'd consider making a donation instead  to the Irish Cancer Society, or to any charity that holds meaning for you. It feels like the right way to mark this birthday: turning it into something that honours the people we've lost, and helps others going through hard times right now.

Throughout birthday week, I'll be sharing different charities on my social media stories - please follow along and support in whatever way feels right for you, big or small.

Thank you for being part of my life and my journey. Whether we've known each other for years or you're a newer face, you've all played a part in getting me to this milestone, and I don't take that for granted.

With love and gratitude,

Binni x
